Well, since the UL still thinks we aren't big boys enough to have the VAC-SYS over here.... [dead horse]
I received my vacuum clamping work holder system from LMI today (https://www.lmii.com/products/tools-services/vacuum).
here are a couple pics of it in use on guitar #6.
While not crucial to holding the plates at this point (brace carving) I can see that this will be a huge improvement in my previous systems
of holding the assembled body (like having my son hold it with two hands!) while doing final binding fitting, sanding, etc.
I also received the bridge vacuum clamp which will be nice when it's time to glue that on. I'm already starting to think about other jigs to build
like for clamping braces, sound hole rosette inlays, etc (which would just be regular vacuum bag operations).
