Anyone use the vecturo with the “standard” (bigger 18v) batteries?  Wondering if you found they affect how you can use it versus the thinner batteries that come with it?

I have used mine with the older 5.2 batteries and I guess it works, but it depends on the application. I very much prefer the 3.1 or 4.0 for the Vecturo. Same for my drills. I would only use 5.2 for TSC or HKC to be honest.

I use mine all of the time with them, as I don’t have the newer 4ah ones.
5ah and 6ah is what I have.

Give my answer a pinch of salt because I have never used a Vecturo but I generally believe that tools that vibrate a llbit tend to vibrate less with a heavier battery.
Also with my Hitachi multitool I often set the blade at 90 degrees from the body because it seems to lessen the vibration compared to it just sticking out the front where its got more leverage over the end of the machine.

I like the 3.1 on the Vecturo. Lightest and smallest that will run it.  The others are fine, but make it a bit more back heavy and awkward in the handling department.

Thanks for the responses. Was considering picking up the basic set and using some extra heavier batteries I have to save some $.  Now I'm not sure... [smile]
