I am new to making post but have been reading fog about six years. Thanks Garry for starting a new page as I couldn't  find a way of getting any info of the Facebook page. Thanks Steve

i wasn't expecting those vecturo accessories, but they do seem innovative. Can't remember how many blades i ruined trying not to hit the concrete under the floor boards etc... Or the amount of times i damaged the workpiece because the blades jumped away, just like homer when he tried to remove the clamp on his car in NY!
I was expecting DC, i am amazed it is left out completely even though Fein has it. And i am worried about the blade attachment, it seems unique=can only use festool blades?

The blades look to be exactly the same as the Fein 'Supercut' (the model up from the multimaster). The blade attachment mechanism looks similar too.

I once asked someone at Festool about the possibility of this type of tool from them - they said they wouldn't do it unless they could offer some significant improvement. Looks like they might have done that!
 
Blade attachment is borrowed from the Fein SuperCut.
I think the blades are interchangeable.

BTW.
Not only the blades are from Fein but also the whole Vecturo is a copy of the Fein SuperCut with an extra Plug-it connector and the power button on another place.

Neeleman, quite a few of Festool's lineup are licensed from other brands. I'm not really surprised about this. Fein makes tools of the highest standard, so I say it's a wise choice.

What I am surprised about, just like Timtool, is that here seems to be no thought about dust collection.
I could understand no dust collection when battery powered, but since it's mains powered, it'll be annoying for many (myself included) who have a vaccuum hose & plug-it cable attached to eachother.
The plunge base idea looks nice though, eager to see as to how that actually works out :)

I was hoping the Vecturo would give me the nudge needed to invest in Festool's battery assortment, but it seems I'll have to wait and see what's further down the pipeline before committing
 
There's an add-on for the Fein SuperCut for dust extraction, so perhaps there will be something for the Festool? Or perhaps the Fein option will fit the Festool?

There are subtle differences.

Also, the plug it looks fragile and not built into the smooth lines of the handle/motor housing.

I am not familiar with the Fenn, but if unique to the Festool, the plunging attachment would seem to be the big design/engineering breakthrough.

My bad, i have a fein multimaster with a different system. Bought it online, but by mistake chose the model without toolless blade change. Still i like it, but the cord just annoys me as i am used to plug it. I'll probably get the Festool (for free :p ) and sell the Fein, if the festool was made by, or with technology from fein, then that would not be a bad thing at all.

Fein still makes the best multitools like the MultiMaster and SuperCut, despite all the clones (Tellsell) which appear on the market these days.
Festool only added some accessories like the depth-stop and start-help.
The assortment of blades are the same as Fein. No new models from Festool.
Now waiting for a battery powered Vecturo. Maybe with a small battery like the CXS model and of course in another shape.
The Fein SuperCut already has 18V-3 Ah batteries.
Come on Festool, you can also do that.

Beside the plunging base I don't see anything new on this tool, though it's still early and not in english... The blades look proprietarily festool which is a minus point. Again this is the first we're seeing of it though. is it more in line with the powerful supercut? Or a Festool version of the standard multimaster? This is an item that was requested on this forum a bunch of times. I do like that plunging base a lot but we'll need a price on this and the blades as comparison to what is on the market now.
 
As you can see from my pictures it's an exact copy of the more powerful Fein SuperCut besides a few details.
On the FOG there were earlier speculations about the relationship from Festool with Fein.
This is the proof. It's also strange that Fein accepts any copies of their SuperCut. But they probabely together want to share a part of the market.
BTW.
There are no cheap copies of the SuperCut as far as I'm aware, only from the MultiMaster.

This is pure guesswork, but from the picture & the position of the plug-it, I would think that the plug-it socket rotates, to give better access in certain circumstances.

They're listed in the PDF and match the SuperCut; 400W input, 220W output and 11,000-18,5000 omw/min.

I was just noticing that as well, looks very similar to the Carvex design.
