Plug-it cords are like tribbles.  You get one with every tool and mostly use one that is strapped to you dust collector hose.  They are nice and long but that also makes them somewhat unmanageable.  It would be great if each came with a nice green Velcro strap

P.S. The picture on the inside of the Systainer for my RTS sander is a good joke.  The cord in the picture looks like it is only about 3 feet long so it fits so nicely compared to the real cord [smile]

Personally I like the Velcro 15 x 1/2 in One Wrap straps that come in 6 packs.  I've just always admired Ridgid for including really nice gray and orange Velcro straps with their tools.  The bright red Velcro One Wraps that I use don't quite look right nex to Festool green  [smile]

These look similar to the Ridgid tool cord wrap and come in neon green which appears to be a close match to Festool green. Unfortunately I can't seem to find a reseller that carries the neon green. Maybe one of the FOG Festool Dealers can get some for us.  [big grin]

I think you should pressure Festool to include these, not ask dealers to sell them them to us.  Who's on board.

I use something like this.  It's a 2"x9" (I think) velcro strap with a buckle, most likely made by the same company I would guess.  Only word of warning is the buckle is likely to snag on the edge of the track or table, so this may become a nuisance if you're not using a boom arm of similar to suspend the hose.

For those that are interested, the strap is black.  Google "Mytee G147" and you should find a few sources.  Mytee provides these with their hot water extraction units, it ties the suction and detergent lines together.  I know it's more than long enough to secure a cord to the 27mm hose.  I need to check the 36mm hose, but I really don't think it would be an issue.

I had considered that option first, but thought it likely that we could drum up dealer interest quicker than Festool's interest.
However, I do think that a tool at Festool's level should include cord management out of the box so I'm definitely on board with you. :)

Call me strange, but I am not a fan of velcro around wood dust and chips.

The correct Festoolian response is:  What wood dust and chips?  [tongue]

The answer is:  That created in the workspace by non-Festool tools used either because alternatives don't exist in the Festool lineup or are NAINA.  [big grin]

I do my own wrap. All you need is som Velcro (hook/ loop)and an old inner tube from a bicycle. Works brill becase the tube is somewhat elastic, so you'll always have a tight fit.
