I recently purchased a MFK 700. I have yet to use it. I've been building some shelving, and after working to scribe the wall edge of all the shelves, I realized that the shelves were too long. I needed to cut them down. All that scribing work for nothing.
But wait! I could surely use my MFK 700 mounted vertically with the copy bearing to replicate the scribed edge while cutting off the appropriate amount. This would be a quick and easy way to fix this mistake! Unfortunately, the bearing only mounts to the MFK 700 when it is trimming horizontally. So much for that.
Would Festool (or somebody) please create a bracket that would allow the MFK to copy an edge while mounted vertically? Maybe the same part could be used to satisfy the offset mounting request in another thread. This would make this tool so much more versatile. Thanks!
