Hi Festool owners,

Recently, to achieve the following desk project, I would like to explore an other way to use my TS 55 to make basic marquetry.
Maybe it can inspire someone here, then I share it.

Here is a video that show you how I made this board. It’s a mix of oak veneer and maple.

Regards.

Loveyour video and your design.  Hope that more people who do marquetry and veneer work discover the advantages that the track saw gives them.

Peter

Thank you Peter and Steve !

Yes, tack saw is not just an other tool. It's for me a new way to do some things easily.

You are a true artist with the track saw.  That is fantastic!

Thank you!

Mike A.

[member=36505]Boris Beaulant[/member] is there a reason why you move the TS55 backwards?

[member=50466]Jeff abcd[/member], I move the saw backward to have a cleaner cut. This is possible because the cut depth is 2mm only.

Your work is very refreshing.
Even the Mrs was impressed with it.

Excellent work - great technique on the veneer work and the sculpting of the fronts of the drawers!

Welcome to FOG and thanks for sharing -

great videos.
subscribed to your channel. my French teacher would be ashamed by my complete lack of any ability to read even the names

welcome to the fog.

I like that inlay technique.
I will try that sometime

Really enjoyed your videos and your work but do think your bandsaw looks scary  [scared]

"Flap disc", because there are 'flaps' of paper.

(A flap wheel has flaps also, but it a cylinder shape rather than a disc)

Ok, in french we call that a "Disque à lamelles" because there are "Lamelles" of paper.
