Video Review of Festool PS300 Trion Jigsaw (561097)

Thanks for another great review Paul.  Now that I have discovered your reviews, I am spending the time to look at them all and it is time well spent.  This is the third one I have seen and I have learned from all three.

In this case, I have owned and used an older model Festool  PS2 barrel grip jigsaw for a little more than 7 years.  But, in spite of extensive use, I still learned two things from your review.  (1) I never knew how the oscillation adjustment worked and, so, always kept it at the equivilant of zero. (2) I like your tip about pulling the jig saw toward your using the handle and will try it today.

Great review Paul!
I was content waiting for a Carvex until I saw this, now I gotta think about it  [unsure].

Great idea having a gap between the two tables and a can under it!  Sometimes the simplest things are the best!!

Thanks,
Jess

Like the pretzel, it was a happy accident.  Though a little high (er, lots) it also works well for some handsaw use.

I now embrace the gap.  I need to get a "Mind the Gap" placard for that corner... hmm  [scratch chin]

Ya i was looking at the Trion last year, then all this news about the Carvex came about and i wanted to see more direct comparison between the two. The thing that kinda gets me about the carvex is that bookfold type bevel base and the fact that I need a separate base just to cut a bevel. Great review agian but I wanna see the puppy cut stuff MORE ACTION! Cheers and keep em coming, very informative
