Vlies discs

I have just bought a ETS 125 REQ-Plus. I have never used the Vlies type pads before.
What are the 3 versions used for? White, green and 320 grit?

I mainly use the Vlies rectangular pads for buffing inbetween coats of varnish, they're surprisingly abrasive and long lasting. The really high grit ones I sometimes use to buff polish on timber for a nice satin sheen.
