VOTE For YOUR Favorite TWO Entries!

Now that the entry period for the Festool Usage Demonstration Contest is over, all the members here have a chance to select their Two Favorites.   You may change your votes.

Once he polling period is complete three ANONYMOUS judges will confer and determine prize winners.  Each of the 5 will win something!

    Grand Prize:     400 Festool Dollars

    Runner Up:      200 Festool Dollars

    Third Place:      100 Festool Dollars
Fourth Place:   One Pair of Quick Clamps
Fifth Place:      One Pair of Screw Clamps

There will also be a random drawing for a Festool Syslite and all 14 entries are in that drawing.

Although you may not have been able to participate in the contest due to location or time constraints you can now participate by voting for your TWO favorites.

GOOD LUCK to everyone!

Peter, Seth, Shane

EDIT> fix link

Entry 4 and 5 have the same title but are different demonstrations. I believe entry 5 was titled Oak Table. I am sure davee would not want his great project confused with my half baked entry.

Thanks for noticing the real name of that thread.  I noticed the duplicate names but when I checked it out I didn't see how I could have changed the name.  Changed now.

Peter

Mr. Halle,

Would you mind fixing the tittle of mine. I believe I titled it "Boom Arm Demonstration". It is number 1 above but the wrong title.

This thread will be officially bumped to remind members to vote in this contest.

"Will be" or "has been".  ;D I know every one likes a piece of... but nobody likes a wise .....

I was hoping I was the only one who voted.

Some very good examples of demonstrations in the thread.

I voted but wish good luck to all those that found more time than me to provide step-by-step tutorials.

I thought this was one of the best contests yet...some great tips and techniques.

VOTE!

This is your chance to have a part in a contest even if you didn't enter.

Only 42 of you have voted.

More participation = more likelihood to get backing = more contests = more prizes in the future = more information shared = more lucky winners.

Peter

I have to say that Shane's banners inspire people to vote, but we need more votes.  Three judges are going to get your data and then use that in their own formulas to see who gets what.  This is a painless process.  Just go to the first post in the thread and after watching and learning, just check a couple of boxes.  Would love to see a couple hundred votes!

I bet alot of non USA members are not voting for obvious reasons.

The voting is getting interesting!  Thank you to those who have voted, and for those who haven't - take some time to view the entries and please vote for your favorite.  Voting ends at midnight (EST) tomorrow night.  Then off to the JUDGES.

Peter

A little more than 7 hours remaining (forum time).  Hint!

Peter

Please be aware that the information on the poll regrading the cut off time is incorrect.  Unfortunately the software doesn't allow you to set a time but rather a number of days which set or reset if there have been any edits in the structure of the post.  I had meant for the voting results to not be visible until the end of the poll but didn't check the correct box.  I have changed that no but that has caused the posted deadline to change.

The deadline is midnight tonight EST time for voting.

Sorry about that guys.

Peter

The polls have been locked. Thank you to all who participated in the contest and those who voted. Peter and/or Seth will be posting the results soon.

Well, as all of you can see if you scroll to the top of the thread the voting was close in this phase of the contest.  The members here have selected entries 11, 12, 9, 3, and 2 as their top five favorites and now it is up to the three judges to determine the winners.  Stay tuned....

That, and the fact that these contests even for regular contributors like me often go by completely unnoticed. Most viewers are here only for the Festool tool section of the forum, and when i click on the main discussion page i automatically scroll down the enormous list of sticky threads to see if there are any new interesting posts. When theres a new sticky you hardly notice because there is just too many of them.
Out of all woodworking forums i know this one is still the most over viewable and easy to navigate, but because it is so vast things get lost.
Maybe it needs a welcome index page with the headlines of everything interesting going on?
