The demonstration videos with towers of Festool systainers in the background both amused and worried me. Then the SYS-AZ hit the streets. Am I on the slippery slope to becoming equally consumed? You be the judge (photos below).
The unit is made up of seven separate components which can be bolted together. Each components is on locking castor wheels. Long pieces of wood can be stored through the bottom half of the rear units, ‘cept for the rail cupboard in the far corner. I may go up at a later stage with more storage. It is mostly made out of 18mm Russian Birch plywood, with MDF bench tops. Bench height is 900mm, with 55mm clear under the top for dogs and clamps. The Kapex is a bit too high where it is. I typically pull the single-width unit at the front left out as a satellite bench to the MFT 3.
