A few months ago Sean (of ToolNut fame) posted about getting a new place and wanting furniture. We met up, discussed a few details and he pretty much said "surprise me."  It has been a fun project.  I told him it would be finished 3-4 times by now, but he has been patient, and should be picking it up on Friday.  I'm not going to post up final shots until he picks it up, but here are some build pics...

Vin, I see you have not forgotten your butterflies.
The work is precise.  Very precise.  Are you getting a feel for surgery classes in the fall?  ::)

As with your previous projects, I like your imagination. Am looking forward to see the completion.
I'm sure Sean will be excited.

I feel the same way sometimes.  But the only way to get better is to open yourself up to criticism!  Do it!  Most likely, you are too hard on yourself and can't see the forest for the trees.

New Lee Valley PM-V11 is very nice.  I didn't have a 3/8" chisel, steel was 3/8", seemed as good an excuse as any.

The photo of the dovetail spline in the first set of photos was practice.  New ryoba saw, sharp chisel, and patience.
