Yes that was the idea.. and it worked but wouldn't do again, I didn't have a bandsaw at the time, now I do so would resaw and lamintae

Thanks, Matt. Yes, of course. Congratulations on the bandsaw.  If I ever move out of here, then that will be one of my first purchases.  I may be trying your method for a TV console design.
