Hey

I just bought the CMS table and module to ts55. Now i Wanted to have the cms-of too, but i Can’t buy it from any dealer [scared]
Is there anyone here who can sell to me? [embarassed]

That depends on where you're located in the world. But even in case you would live next door... my CMS-OF will (unless something superior comes my way, which hasn't so far) have to be pried from my cold, dead hands.

As the CMS-OF has been discontinued (along with everything CMS), you need to hurry in case you want to get one NIB. Spare parts are guaranteed for 10 years by Festool, though I doubt to need some as that thing is (unless you let it litterally rot away) basically indestructible.

As of yesterday there was still a CMS thing / module listed on Chicago craigslist by someone, not me.

Where do you live as there are probably are people near you with one.

I guess you can always just buy all the parts separately  [tongue]

It's kinda sad Festool doesn't really communicate products going EOL. I might have grabbed a CMS-PS if I knew in advance.

[member=8955]Coen[/member] Take a look at THIS.

Hope this helps.

Oh nice. Kinda sad German eBayers seem to be allergic of sending stuff outside their borders.  [unsure]

Lieferung an Abholstation möglich
You have 'near Germany' in your profile, maybe there's a shop or a friend near (but on the other side, from your perspective) the border to where you could have it delivered to?

Yeah, I PMd the seller and he was willing to send to NL directly. DHL Filiale was also an option.

But someone apparently entered a higher bid (1 second before auction close, probably automated bid) than my €121 and it was sold for €122  [unsure]

Because they often dont list international shipping it by default is hidden when searching from ebay.nl
If I start with ebay.de I can find it.

Maybe more luck next time. When I bought my tele lens on eBay there were 10 listed with different end dates. I think I got nr. 8 out of 10 and for the 2nd lowest price of them all  [big grin]

I still think Festool should communicate better not only about new products but also products that will be terminated soon. Like Intel does; once in a while they send out a list with products going out of production and with the last date you can order them.

I don't want Festool to follow the Intel playbook. Better they continue to not post dincontinuing things upfront - than to sell inherently broken stuff for 20 years and even continuing to sell known defective products because they give shit about hteir customers.

Nah, keep it as is. Festool has its flaws, but Intel is a completely different class of evil.

I am solely talking about communicating about things going EOL before they do, not about selling CPU's with some theoretical defect someone has yet to find a real world exploit for.

I guess others could claim the same about Festool selling the now-deemed "dangeroud" CMS modules because someone could bypass it's power button...

In my base it's either getting a CMS-PS or I just continue ghetto-clamping my PS-300 under the CMS-OF (not selling! ;)

The problem with Intel CPUs is that the defects are neither theoretical nor are working exploits still to be discovered. Just FYI.

The problem with CMS is more that some guys (who I can't comment on as I would like to because of the sites profanity filter) decided some new rules for machinery, including the completely braindead idea of outlawing mounting handheld machines for stationary use. That's at least one of the reasons the ides of the CMS was discarded, according to the festool rep I talked to on the last roadshow.

I feel with you, good luck on obtaining a CMS-PS (which, at the moment, is still available in parts through the EKAT, for around 175€ incl. VAT and shipping).

Hmm, ordering in parts doesn't even seem to be more expensive. At least from what I remember the price to be. I just ordered the whole CMS-PS minus the part that is needed with PS-200.  I wonder if I actually get it in parts or that they just made some more pre-assembled in anticipation of this.

Maybe the CMS-OF is the same price in parts too?

Picked up the parts last friday. I didn't get a preassembled one, but assembly was easy. Also increased my stock of ziplock bags  [big grin]
