Hate painting and am rubbish at it. Get a local guy to spray my stuff if needed. Think that good painting is a skill all its own.

The re-furb on the stairs sounds interesting. Just be carefull when replacing the newel posts as they are a very integral part of the stairs strength.
Cheers, Woodguy.

Thanks for the paint drawing and the video, that explained a lot and now I would agree with what you have chosen. I didn't mean to get everyone started on those doors. [embarassed]
Anyway great work.

Not knocking the euro .I use more of them now than butts and i agree about the catches etc. I have found in frame doors are easier with butts. There are some fantastic new hadware bits out there that are a great improvement an the old hard ware. I am having a hard time with blumotion drawer system at the moment. want to start using it with my own small production runs but getting good installation info is not easy or i am looking in the wrong places. made some real ups and they are just not working for me at the moment. btw, did i miss it - how did you paint it an d prep the surfaces to get painted
kind regards, Mike
woodguy7 said:No, you dont need a spindle moulder to shape the end. Just a copeing saw, a sharp block plane & some sharp chisels. It realy is not difficult & does not take long. Well worth the the effort.
With regards to the top post, do you mean "NEWL" post [poke]
