Wardrobe Using CMS

Hate painting and am rubbish at it. Get a local guy to spray my stuff if needed. Think that good painting is a skill all its own.

I am having a hard time with blumotion drawer system at the moment. want to start using it with my own small production runs but getting good installation info is not easy or i am looking in the wrong places.

John,

Are you talking about the Blumotion drawer boxes, or using the Blumotion runners with timber drawer boxes? What info is it you need? I use the runners with timber boxes all the time. If you want some help PM me.

John,

Thanks for the paint drawing and the video, that explained a lot and now I would agree with what you have chosen. I didn't mean to get everyone started on those doors.  [embarassed]

Anyway great work.

Looking good dude.  These type of things never look their best until all the paint work is finished etc but i can see it is going to be nice.
The re-furb on the stairs sounds interesting.  Just be carefull when replacing the newel posts as they are a very integral part of the stairs strength.

Cheers, Woodguy.

Alrite sorry I didnt reply soon I missed your Post.  Any way thank first all!  Well the existing mule post well it wasn't really a mule post it was two 4x2 timbers nailed together which goes right up to the ceiling I cut the mule post so the ceiling could be plastered and left 1m just for now untill I can start working on this job again. Well I dont think it was worth leaving the 1m piece on as its so loose it will probably fall over. Only reason why it was solid because it was attached to the ceiling.  So I don't think its structural.  There probably was a proper mule post at one point just some before removed it I dont know yet. Ill have to remove the carpet to see what's happened.

Well thank you for the heads up any way woodguy!!!

Well the clients asked me to come back to do a few little jobs! Well I have been today and thought I would take some pictures now its all been carpeted and painted!

The finished stairs and Wardrobes

As you can see they had a plastered post but it did go right up to the ceiling! It was cut off so the ceiling could be plastered and I could fit the new loft ladder hatch.

Wow, that built in looks awesome. I really like how it just blends in and looks like it belongs.

I agree with the others regarding the hinges. You made a great choice!!

Not knocking the euro .I use more of them now than butts and i agree about the catches etc. I have found in frame doors are easier with butts. There are some fantastic new hadware bits out there that are a great improvement an the old hard ware. I am having a hard time with blumotion drawer system at the moment. want to start using it with my own small production runs but getting good installation info is not easy or i am looking in the wrong places. made some real  ups and they are just not working for me at the moment. Looking good man.  One thing that caught my eye was the square cut on the bottom end of the handrail.  I would have shaped it to the same profile that the side of the handrail is.  Sorry to find a negative  [embarassed]  It would have been easier on the hand.

You would wudnt u Woodguy! Jokes!  Umm I thought of a few things but not what you mentioned though!  The thing is they just wanted it simple they said they would of been happy how it was just new but I moved the newl post over so the hand rail went into the newl post oppose to the side which looked crap and they got square spindles I added a little chamfer to them as they looked a bit boring.

Any way about your idea I would need a large spindle cutter of same profile or similar or spend ages carving it. I did sand the edge so it aint a sharp edge not to aint to bad on the hands then lol

Hey,  I wanted to do the painting but they wanted to keep the cost down as much as possible so I did not do the painting and said they need to paint the entire house so said they would paint it so all I did was coat the MDF with MDF primer. I must admit on close inspection the painting ain't great but its fine I would of preferred if I had done it though now.

No, you dont need a spindle moulder to shape the end.  Just a copeing saw, a sharp block plane & some sharp chisels.  It realy is not difficult & does not take long.  Well worth the the effort.

With regards to the top post, do you mean "NEWL" post  [poke]
