I am the Proud new owner ;D ;D ;D ;D, 3 days, sorry no cigars, of the CT 33/150 5 combo and the Boom arm (Love that Boom).

My question is, where is the info I need, [ Type - Item code - Serial # ] to fill out the green cards and am I suppose to register the warranty somewhere, not that I'll ever need to use it. ;D

Tanks for taking the time to answer my question, this stuff is probably obvious, except to me.

Michael,

No need to register the tools for warranty. The dealer you bought the tools from is supposed to do that for you.
All tools have a sticker with the serial no (called S. or M. No.), item no. and type. The green card is
just for your records.

Regards,

Christian

Shouldnt we at least give Festool honorary citizenship and stop with the green cards?  (I know, green is an appropriate color, but green card? )

:D

Christian,

What happens with warranty when you buy/sell used Festool equipment? Is standard warranty transferable?

Thank you,

From the Festool warranty conditions:

"Festool warrants, only to the original purchaser, that the specified tool will be free from defects..."

This means the warranty is not transferable.

Regards,

Christian

Christian,

I picked up my Domino this morning and asked my dealer (not one of the fine dealers on the forum) if they reported the purchase and serial number to Festool and they responded "No".

How do I go about explaining the process to them? Do you have an official way for me to do that?

Is there any way to verify that the tools have been registered? I bought a bunch of stuff from the Santa Rosa Woodcraft yesterday evening, and they seemed like they might be unclear on who was supposed to register stuff. Sure would be nice to be able to check with Festool...

As a matter of fact, it'd be flat out awesome if Festool USA could let owners make that information available in a central repository on-line. It'd be great if people could check the status of, for instance, used tools before they purchased them.

Hi,

That would be great!  It seems that Festool could make the serial numbers and date registered available with out giving out any other information. Type in the number and up pops, registered on X date or not registered.
