Water based spray finish

Good Evening,

I would like to finish my pine window trim with a clear spray type finish. A friend of mine suggested a Minwax product (2 coats in 2 hours). I would appreciate any input weather it for or against. Or should I just take the time (28 window trim assemblies) and rub or brush the finish on? In any case, what is your product of choice?
