Today we had yet another problem with our dishwasher in the kitchen. It wouldnt empty itself so lots of water remained inside.
I brought out my trusty Festool CTL Midi. I took out the filterbag and filter and mounted the water filter.
I started vacuuming and emptied the dishwasher in five seconds.
I put some more water in and vacuumed that also. Now I noticed water started running down from the CTL, it was water under it. I took the top off and noticed just a few inches of water. I emptied that and started vacuuming again.
After I was finished I lifted the top off, noticed it was significantly heavier than normal. When leaned on its side water came out of it. I leaned it arround and tried to empty the top. Then I started again, engine ran for 15 seconds, then died.

I have not left it to dry up completely somI will notify what happends further. It is more than three years old and has served very light duties in my home connected to the TS55 mainly.

Later yesterday I took apart the CTL completely. I discovered that it was all wet insid around the motor and electronics.
Fortunately it seems it has at least three sensors inside to detect water which probably turned off my engine before any damage was done.
I let it dry over night and than put it all together.
I started it up and it worked fine again.

Awesome. Festool can be smarter than us sometimes. Putting water sensing devices in where the motor is housed, that's brilliant. Glad to hear all is well because that is a great dust extractor to own
Cheers
