Just recently purchased WCR-1000 for my CT-48, and i have a boom arm on it, and I can’t get it to fit with boom arm on it. Did WCR-1000 change from the one made few years ago? My friend has same set up, and it seems as WCR-1000 base has increased in size?

I'm not aware of any changes to the WCR-1000.

Do you have photos of your current setup? Is it perhaps that the boom arm isn't fitted correctly even if functional? Or perhaps does the boom arm need to be temporarily removed in order to be able to fit the WCR-1000?

There are plenty of people with the WCR-1000 and a Boom Arm so they definitely work together.

I'm sure it's a really simple fix. Photos may help.

I think this has to do with the old vs new hose garage on the CT’s.
(I think Festool forgot the backwards-check-compatibility..)

At some time, there was a slight change in the mood for the base of the WCR 1000.
(Guess how I know..) But this, as far as I’ve found, has to do with the fastening holes when screwing the base to a surface or the cart it also was designed for. The overall design and clasp tab arrangement seems just the same.

I have the CT26 with boom arm and just bought the WCR 1000. I had to turn it around 180 degrees so the label is in the back so it attaches to the new t-loc hose garage. But my is pushing on the handle on the right side. I do not like how that fits. I feel like it’s going to break after a while. Also, I had to move the rotating shelf to front side so it doesn’t interfere with the book arm itself. Engineering really messed this up. I feel like if the handle was spaced back 1/2”, it would fit so much better. Not sure if someone has modified theirs, but I’m thinking about trying to move my back a little so you can lift the WCR 1000 off while it’s attached to the top of the CT. Then you can empty the bag and reattach it so much faster.

I know, it’s annoying. Hope Festool brings out an updated base for the newer CT’s.

I did the hassle of making an adaptor/interface to move it forward so it can be used on the cart, the CT Mini/Midi from 2019^ and CT 26 and ^

If my handle had the bend like your MIDI handle, it would work prefect! I just need to find someone with a metal shop that can do a little fab work for me! Then I’d be 100% happy!

Does the WCR lock to your plywood base or does it just sit on it?

Yep, I wanted to be able to use the extending handle on the Midi. I could have moved it slightly more back so it would be closer to the CT 26 handle (the pic above the Midi) but then it wouldn’t be possible to extract the handle of the Midi.. The Midi get ever so slightly front heavy with this, but it’s doing ok. Now I’m rolling it on the SYS CART with the CT SYS in the tray instead. It’s low, but I keep the floor more tidy.. [big grin]

The WCR’s base is screwed to the plywood with the 4 mounting holes. (This is where the newer base has room for some Alu bushings to be used with the plastic adaptor base I used)

I live in the US. So I don’t know if I can get a dealer to order that offset base. Since I only have the CT26, would I be able to clip that to the top of the CT 26 and then use screws and attach that to the base of the WCR 1000?
