The other day I was in a office supply place to get a new computer chair,( I had on my festool fleece jacket that I got from Bob Marino )when couple stop me to ask if I worked for festool .Now I said I would love too ,But no .I just have alot of their tools and I love to use them.I bet I talked to the guy for about an hour or so on some of the tools I have and how to use them. His wife was wanting to go but at times she was just as interested about the tools as the guy was. After we said our goodbyes , They came back to see if they can get my number . I gave it to them. Then they told me that they own a bed and breakfast for the last 35 years and want me to do some work for them. They had added on and need the inside work done.So I guess you can say if you get the best tools out there and take care of them ,they will take care of you.

Just goes to show the reputation festools has out there.

You just never know where your next job will come from, good stuff.

John

just imagine all the tools we could pay for if festool gave us all a free jacket [big grin]

Anybody out there that wants to give me a free Festool jacket?  [big grin]

I know that I have sent business Festool's way and that Festool as well as some of thier dealers have given me some freebies over the years, but I am always open to additional incentives.  [wink]

Nice!  That just might turn out to be one of those "feel-good" kind of jobs.  Another good thing since they seem familiar with Festool, they kind of know what to expect when you hand them a quote for the job.  Cha-ching, baby,.....Cha.......ching...  Hope it works out well for you.

I think I read a story about a guy getting shot because he wouldn't give up his Festool jacket.  [tongue]

Oh boy, here we go again....... [big grin]

I'll take an XL please.

Don't have a nice Festool jacket like the guy did at the demo day. However, I do have my Festool cap that I wear regularly. I've gotten two direct job referrals from it. Makes us fairly even since I've gotten other guys to buy festools.

I know that's why I used the tiny print.  Bob was good enough to send my a Tee when I bought the RO90, I'm happy with that. [thumbs up]  I'll bug Shane for the fleece (and polo) when I'm in Lebanon later this month. [tongue]  I also have other special plans for a shirt while there. [cool]

Don't know how bummed you'll be, but there aren't any Festool bicycle shorts.  Blaklader doesn't make them either.  [scared]

Now, if they'd come out with a navy and green camo jacket, that would get some traction in the midwest!  [scared]

So, if I understand the thread, the fact that a guy is wearing a Festool jacket or whatever is taken by someone in the "public" to mean that he's a particularly good craftsman???  No disrespect implied, but it would be nice if that were the case.  All one really needs to display the Festool label is money.  The skills may be there, but then again they may not.  Skills are earned "the old fashioned way", hard work and time.
