Everyone,

I'm pleased to announce that we have two new members who have joined the forum.

First, Lasse Pelonen from Festool Finland. Lasse has worked in several capacities during his tenure giving him a broad knowledge of products and operations. Those of you who have attended fairs (trade shows) in Finland may have met him.

Second, Phil Beckley from Festool UK. Phil has done a tremendous job behind the scenes helping to assist customers from the forum. I have often corresponded with Phil whenever I see a member from the UK that needs help. Also, Phil has proactively monitored the forum and emailed me with helpful information, especially for products not yet available in the US/Canada. Phil is a member of the product training at Festool UK and you may have seen him in several YouTube videos.

Please join me in welcoming Lasse and Phil to the forum. The ushers in a new era for the FOG, expanding the level of support and participation from Festool offices in other countries.

[thumbs up] [thumbs up] [thumbs up]

Phil! About time. Welcome, welcome, welcome. Great to have you here although to be honest, Shane has been doing an awesome job in your absence, so you have a lot to live up to.

No pressure. [emoji2]

Hi
Thanks for the intro Shane  [not worthy] and Tervetuloa to Lasse. I have met a lot of the U.K group at shows, exhibitions and also at the 2014 meet up back in the Summer.
Very briefly - my role as Technical Trainer for Festool U.K is to develop and deliver the dealer training, introduce new products to the U.K and support our sales team in their roles. I also attend and demonstrate at exhibition events through the year.
I am trained as a Furniture maker/Joiner and have 25 years direct trade involvement, taught in Further Education Construction and have my own workshop.
I will participate and support as much as i can and am looking forward to working with all of you.
Phil

Welcome Phil and Lasse. Very nice to see some official participation from this side of the pond, and looking forward to your input.

Now somebody get those lazy Dutchies online as well.  [big grin]
