Yesterday as I was cutting mortises with my Domino 500, I kept stepping on the cord, which impeded movement.

I know it's user error, but the way the cord flopped around on the floor, it kept moving to where I would stand to make a cut.

I didn't have that issue with the hose.

I have used the green clips to run the cord along the hose, but the clips catch on the edge of my MFT and assembly table.

So yeah, yesterday between grumbling and cursing, I was thinking that a cordless Domino might be nice.

I know I may be more clumsy than many of you...

I have a pivoting hook arrangement for the hose with the cord clipped to it. That way it doe snot catch on things.

I have a 1x3 with a screw eye and bungie cord on top.

I clamp it to my MFT. It works well but gets in the way when i cross cut wide panels.

Since it was down and out of the way, and I was in production mode, I didn't want to stop. Haha, it was easier to batch and moan.

I use large shrink wrap to keep my hose and cord paired...a "poor man's" version of the OEM combo...and also have the heavier cord on it so it works with "all the tools". The last two wraps are velcro so I can adjust better and also contain the plug-it end when I'm using with a fixed cord tool like my old ATF-55 tracksaw.

I'm betting we'll be able to just buy the fence as a standalone option.

I don't know if it is a quick/easy swap-out...the construction is completely different which may mean the attachment method is also different. Here's the 500 vs the 500 R.

holy crap are you guys me? I've been embarrassed to tell anyone about my bungie -pivot hook -screw eye arrangement but it works so well

i strap the power cord to the hose with these guys spaced every 2-3ft. it takes a min but does not impede use

Sounds like a good approach. Today I was using my track saw, and I used the green clips to attach the cord to the hose. Took them off after a minute since they catch on the end of the guide rail. (Another victim of YouTube influencers.)

I like the idea of velcro straps and am going to buy some.
