OK folks...As promised, here's a lot of detail regarding some of the new products being released in the EU on 1 Apr. I guess we won't know what North America will have initially, but there is a lot to expect in the pipeline!!
First off, the TSC55. I have confirmed that it will use 1 or 2 standard 18V batteries used by all their other cordless products. I also understand that all the 18V batteries are going to be coming in the new up-amped 4.2 Ah versions. (Previous batteries were 3 Ah)
Here is a picture of one of the German Festool brochure pages. The thing to take note of here is how two batteries are attached to the saw. See the lower right picture for the detail. The battery attachment system was not clear in the video released yesterday.

Pricing in Germany is based on four different options. US$ pricing shown is based on current TERRIBLE exchange rate. $1.40 = €1.00
#1 TSC 55 REB-Plus/XL-FS Li, 2 Batteries, 2 TCL3 Chargers, SYS 5 Systainer, FS1400/2 Rail, Dust Bag. € 754.00 US$ 1055.00
#2 TSC 55 REB-Plus-FS Li, Same as listed in #1, but with only one TCL3 charger. € 709.00 US$ 992.00
#3 TSC 55 REB-Plus/XL Li, Same as listed in #1 but with no FS 1400/2 Rail. € 709.00 US$ 992.00
#4 TSC 55 REB-Plus Li, Same as listed in #2 (One Charger) but with no FS 1400/2 Rail. € 660.00 US$ 924.00
As I mentioned in another topic. I have preordered #4 version with the proviso that if the USA announces availability on 1 APR, then my German order will be cancelled. (THis also holds for the PDC 18/4 and BHC that I am also preordering...especially with the battery offer --- see below)
The BHC 18V SDS Hammer Drill is also finally being released on 1 Apr. It will be available in two versions in the EU.
#1 BHC 18 Li PLUS, 2 Batteries, TCL 3 Charger, Handle, Depth Stop, Rubberized Frame, SYS2 T-Loc Systainer € 498.00 US$ 697.00
#2 BHC 18 Li BASIC, 1 Battery, NO Charger, Handle, Non-Rubberized Frame, SYS2 T-Loc Systainer. € 320.00 US$ 448.00
The PDC 18/4 Li 4.2 Ah Set XL is already released in EU in two levels.
#1 package includes 2 batteries, TCL3 charger, rubberized frame, additional handle,
depth stop, Quick-Fix Fast 13mm, angle head, CENTROTEC chuck, CENTROTEC bit holder, SYS2 DF T-LOC Systainer. € 640.00 US$ 896.00
#2 There is a second package that is called the PDC 18/4 Li 4.2 Ah PLUS, but I can't find what is missing from the #1. It is cheaper! € 497.00 US$ 695.00
The VECTURO OS 400 EQ (230V) Multitool system is being released on 1 Apr. For reference, the pricing will be at two levels.
400 EQ-SET € 548.00 US$ 767.00
400 EQ-Plus € 398.00 US$ 557.00
The VECTURO differs from other tools like Fein in that it has a vertical feature I haven't seen elsewhere, along with other multi-tool features.. No hands on yet, but should be interesting.
Now here is something REALLY of interest to those of us in Germany at least for the moment.
Festool is running a special from 1 APR to the end of July for 18V packages.
Buy two of the new tools and get two additional 18V Batteries free
Buy three tools, get FOUR batteries extra
Buy Four tools, and get SIX Batteries FREE (And that's in addition to the ones that come with each tool.
Here's a pic of the brochure page and a Google Translation of text at the top:

Half-assed Google Translation:
Lucrative who joined was in the 18 volt fund ever.
Saves power, saves energy and money right now. Because the sale of a 18 volt battery tool they get their choice when buying for every other 18 volt battery tool contained 18 volt battery packs for free. And this applies not only to the second, but also for the third, fourth, fifth ...
More about the lucrative entry into the 18 volt class are now available at all participating professional Handlers.
This is really an INCREDIBLE deal, considering that in Germany, the new 18V 4.2AH Batteries sell for € 151.00 or US$ 211.00 equivalent. WOW! [eek]
So buy four tools, and get roughly $1266.00 worth of additional batteries for FREE! [tongue] THat's one heck of a deal here in Deutschland!! [drooling]
I'll add more data and pictures later, but in the meantime, here's a little more Festool Porn from my latest visit to Wagner's in Hermersberg, Germany! [big grin]

More to come. Stay tuned! [tongue]
Cheers,
Frank
