What basic accessories for the Router OF 1400 ?

Hello,
I am about to make a big purchase and need some advice on the accessories needed for a decent setup.
I am about to buy the 1400 router, MFT set, and Router table set.

There are a lot of accessories that go along with the router itself, but I need a basic setup to do mortising easily. It looks like there are a lot of different addons that I am not sure what they will be needed for. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction of a site that better explains the uses of different addons? Or even a book on routing?

You could try looking on ebay,there are quite a few books and dvds on routing,also,i`ve seen a festool book on their routers,but not sure what kind of book it is,maybe someone else on here has it

I can't believe there's a book worth getting on routing. Ask your questions on the fog and you'll get specific answers to your questions and they'll relate to your of1400 as well.

I would get the small bore base for starters especially if you are mortising on narrow edges.

The Edge Guide and the Guide Rail Stop are the accessories that enhance the OF 1400 for most typical usage.

With them and any guide rail, that router becomes extremely versatile.
