What do you think about a motorized router lift?

That looks like a very nice concept. It would be great to be able to do plunge & incremental cuts that way.
I believe the quality of the electronics will determine its longevity.
I did not see a way to manually operate the lift if the electronics fail.

Nick,

I was just thinking the other day when I was using my router table how good the investment was in my router lift.  I really don't know how I did without it.

This upgrade would truly be nirvana.  One of the great features is that if you write things down, you could record the settings for a given operation making that operation easily repeatable.

Of course, cost is a factor.  I would probably also want to wait for the bugs to be removed before making the purchase.

This sounds like a step toward the CNC woodworking that I see has invaded the craft over the past decade.  I notice there are a number of websites and sub-categories on sites devoted to CNC woodworking, and also that there is quite a bit of half-assed stuff out there. Not that what you found is so.
