What does your avatar say...

Some avatars are very distracting.

Very true, that animated avatar of Wood_junkie of a character banging his keyboard gives me headaches.  [sad]

Caving to pressure... the view of the Madison Capitol from outside my building some years ago.  Those are really clouds/contrails forming a pink "X"....

What does mine say about me?  Not much.

Not much ...... only that you're heavily addicted to some sort of green goo ....... you probably go through a lot of needles every day.  [wink]

Alex,

Maybe this will help:

That is an image I used on my wife's website for her vampire book series - in progress.

They make very nice driveable toys in Bowling Green!  What a way to break it in.  Hope you took some back roads part of the way.

We took I40 home, but toured several parts of old route 66. We had a blast.

Always wondered what the green goo was in your avatar...Makes sense now.

Mine however is a character I happened to find endearing while watching South Park (I don't watch it much, but this particular episode skewers Facebook, which I found enlightening).  It reminds me of the incredible awkwardness many of us felt as kids.

Vampire series? You're not telling me you're actually married to Stephanie Meyer, are you? If so, you must have all the money in the world for Festools.  :o

I must take offense at that remark, sir! My blood is not merely green but blue as I stem from the noblest of families! I challenge you to a duel at dawn, to avenge my honour.  [attachimg=1]

Alex,  not quite.  But I am happy to have what I have - including my Festools!  An aspiring author

Mine is nothing more than my acknowledgment of being able to continue this expensive hobby of mine with the blessing of the one IN my Avatar.  [big grin]

I think mine just says "Sheep F#@$ER"  as they call me in Canada  [laughing] [laughing] [laughing] [laughing]

I guess mine just exposes me as the non-descript character I am.... [cool]

But seriously, I just didn't take the effort yet to add one. I'll look up the one I used to use on several other fora and put it up.

Regards,

Job

Mine is a Simpsons version of me that some of the kids at the school where I work made of me.  It's scarily close to the real thing!

Cheers,

My dog, Arthur.  It was a grab shot.  I never really thought about meaning until now. The calming effect dogs have on us and the unconditional loyalty, affection and love they give.  We could learn a lot from our pets.

It may be down to the size of the picture you are using, maybe one of the very nice moderators will be able to advise. [smile]
I'm just not that good at explaining the 'how to' in writing for techie stuff [embarassed]
Rob.

Nice looking kitchen, like the style.

Thanks, it fits in well with our 50 year old "modern" house. We have an Eichler home, which is termed a 'mid-century modern' house style with a huge number of floor to ceiling glass walls. Of course it was built when heating costs were a lot lower and without our California climate, it would be hard to build in other areas.  We love the amount of light in the morning.

Just me on vacation. We flew out to Bowling Green Kentucky where we picked up a new toy. Then drove back to California.

That explains the big smile!  [big grin]

But it couldn't be the toy I'm thinking of, you can't carry much lumber in them.  ;)
