blk65brd = short for black 1965 Thunderbird, another expensive never ending hobby, much like the green addiction here.  The car is a triple black convertible that has been in progress since about 1990 (last licensed in 1983), it has been a very fuel economical car, yet to use a tank of gas, it is getting closer to complete, original engine rebuilt with multi-port fuel injection, serpentine belt system, pretty much all of car rebuilt, it will be a road car that will hopefully get completed before my kids take my keys and licence away from me.

Nice project you have there. I'm working on restoring a 1969 VW bug and its been on its way for the last five years in my hands and the previous five in my dads. Luckily I've been able to drive it every summer at least once.

All the way from hatching thru high school, I was always known as "Tink"  When i was in grammar school, i was always getting into trouble.  One of the high school teachers was a personal friend of the family. We were in a small country school with 2 grades per class room and the entire four years of HS were in two rooms (home room and another class room.  Every once in a while, i would be in some sort of scuffle in the hallway and the high school teacher friend would catch me and the first inkling I had of her discovery was a very authoritative "That will do TINK."  I would turn around and there she was, just glaring at me.  I would dig a hole in the floor to hide from her gaze.  Years later, I had grown to be known as Tinker.  In those days I used to stop by her house just to visit, but she still knew me as "Tink"  All of my family and friends from those days still call me "Tink"  From HS days until now, most people know me as Tinker except for those who have met me since I met my wife.  She insisted on calling me by my real first name as people "should not have nick names."  Of course, she took a loonnnnnggggg time before she could call me anything by Vayne.  She still has her German accent, but she finally has managed to discard the V and has it more like VWAYNE.  To make it more crazy, my wife's name is Brigitte and almost nobody gets her name right.  her's is supposed to be pronounced Bri-git(with the hard "G")-ta .  Some just call her Mr.s Tinker. Most people do call me just plain Tinker.

The story of Wayne becoming "Vayne" brought a smile to my face.  I lived in Germany for a long time, and many Germans called me "Wic"  instead of Vic. 

My FOG name comes from the name of the cover band I played in when I lived in Stuttgart.  We used the band name "Kitchen Pass" for a few years, but it wasn't easy to explain what it meant to our German audiences.  We eventually changed the name to Max Fracas.  Just like there was no Hootie in Hootie and the Blowfish, there was no Max in Max Fracas.

I lived in Weil im Schoenbuch, just south of Stuttgart.  Toured the wonderful Mercedes museum in Stuttgart and watched a VfB soccer match in the old Daimler stadium, but didn't end up bringing a Mercedes back.  But the place I wish I had visited was the big factory with the sign that read "FESTOOL."  I didn't buy a single Festool over there.  Might go back some day...

In my previous reply, i had meant to include the following, but had gotten sidetracked.  This is a busy time with my day job and i wa unable to get back.

I notice a lot of us have used nicknames handed to us by friends or from work.  I have had several nicknames, mostly from when I had the masonry business.  Where I used to rent and buy equipment and had tools, everybody from owners to the guys in the shop would call me "The Non-Latin Mason." Many or most of the masons then were Italian, so a lot of my friends during those years called me "Tinkerelli"  One of my contractors was quite large in circumference and some of his crew (and a few others) called him(on the quiet, of course) "The Great White Whale."  The same groups that referred to him as "The Great White Whale" also began referring to me as ( with smiles >>> I think) "The Great White Mudman."  I don't remember which came first, but the nickname for me stuck for a long time.  Not so long (or loud) for the Whale.  The name that stuck the longest was "Tinkerelli"  A couple of years ago, my best buddy's wife was dying.  She was beyond recognizing anybody and could no longer speak with any understanding.  I visited a day before she passed on.  As she saw me at her bedside, she very clearly said "Tinkerelli".  By that time, I had been away from the trade long enough that almost nobody called me that anymore.

that is a fun tool to work with after you figure how to use it. I don't get into my shop as often as I wood like and so i have to go to the handbook nearly every time i try to do DT's. Other joints aren't so tricky, but the dust problem sort of takes away some f the fun.  I think some improvements have been made.

I have watched, and talked with the man who developed RouterBoss, very much like the WR, but seems to have better dust collection.
