I want to create a template to make my own MFT top. For that I need a guide bushing adapter, and for obvious reasons it has to be larger than 20mm. My PC guide bushing set only goes up to 21/32" ID, 3/4" OD. Not big enough.

I did a quick google search without success, but I figured I'd post here since I'm sure others have already dealt with this...

Just found this at WoodCraft:

Product Information:

Fits all routers with Porter-Cable style sub-bases. Note: You will need a bushing lock nut. OD = outside diameter; ID = inside diameter.

1" OD x 7/8" ID Bushing
Fits all routers with Porter-Cable style sub-bases
All guides protrude 0.240" to work with any template material of 1/4" thickness and larger

- See more at: http://www.woodcraft.com/Product/2004855/7678/1-OD-x-78-ID-Bushing.aspx?keyword=&refcode=10INGOPB&device=c&network=g&matchtype=&gclid=Cj0KEQjwx4yfBRCt2rrAs-P5vtkBEiQAOdFXbXEqcJIVc_l6ULc-guOkN7V-BMZqtrS9Lp57rG8D_jQaAnSX8P8HAQ#sthash.FQFTVVqK.dpuf

It should work, correct? The only reason I ask is because it's only $8, and I don't know of ANY accessory  that works with Festool that's only $8!!!

[big grin]

Not sure how feasable it is to get one over there. Here in the uk we can get 30mm pc guide bushes for worktop jigs.
If trend are sold in the usa? They sell the 30mm as it's who i got my 2 from.

The part number is GB/US/30

What else would you need to make that work with an OF1010 or OF2000? Would the parts in the Porter Cable kit (the nut specifically) be all you need?

Two things, Wayne: first Woodcraft sells the Trend 30mm (1-3/16") bushing; Second (at least for the OF 1010), You'll need the Leigh 704R Guide Bushing adapter.  I prefer the Leigh version over the Festool equivalent because it's somewhat adjustable (unlike the Festool part) which allows you to use a centering mandrel to get the bit truly concentric within the bushing.

Don't know for sure about the 1010 or 2200, but the 1400 has a 24mm (inside dia. 21mm), and a 30mm, and a 40mm.  All of those will clear a 20mm easily.

Just looked on Bob Marino's site  an the 1010 and 2200 both have Festool guide bushing in sizes 17mm, 24mm, 27mm, 30mm & 40mm.

Be sure and post some pics of your setup when you get it going.
