What non-Festool brand Festool accessory did you buy today?

Got to admit I bought more than one, in fact I bought several boxes of them, I have ended up with a lot of screwdrivers over the years but these are different, silent and sexy. ( Got to love the colour!)

I bought a Construction Master Pro Desktop for office estimating, two more Pica pencils, and a Lie Nielsen Low Angle Jointer L-N 7 1/2...E Bay - $308.00, not available from LN right now!  [big grin]

I'm surprised at that price, congratulations.  I was curious so I looked and saw that there's someone who's listed the adjustable mouth block plane for $168 -- or 3 dollars more than the price for a new plane.  And I never understood people who forced up the bids on ebay early, as opposed to waiting for the last moment to snipe the product.

A DeWalt DW611PK (both bases) router set. Haven't used it yet but it feels like it's excellent quality. Now to order the dust shields.

I found edge sanding with the ETS EC 150 to be a bit tippy so I grabbed one of these edge sanding attachments from Iluka Tools. Did a short sanding test with it and it works great.

That's pretty cool. The Festool ones don't fit the EC versions.....but, they are angle adjustable.
Who am I kidding.... the Festool one doesn't even fit all of the regular ETS. It doesn't work pre-2016? something like that? I bought one, not knowing that mine were too old for it.
To be fair, I was given those older ones. They were randomly included in a larger lot, of an auction purchase, that a friend bought. They were without the Systainers or Plug-it, so he gave them to me, knowing I did. (the Plug-it anyway)

The adjustable part is a double-edged sword. Adjustable is cool, if you need it. It also means that it can get out of adjustment too.

I have had the Iluka London edge guide for more than a year I think (lemme check... yep, since May last year) and I really like it. So much so, that I am considering to buy the 45° version as well. The only thing that would be nice if it was improved is a latch that fits better through the hole of the handle. Sometimes I have to fiddle a bit to get it clamped right. Other than that I have no complaints. It just works.

Well, the collar on my angle adapter just broke. It was sitting on top of an M337, got bumped, and fell about 14" onto an OSB floor.

Fortunately, the shop owner is going to send a replacement and will print it with more infill which should make that part of the collar stronger.

Otherwise, the tool worked great for the few hours I put it to use this morning.

I wish the Festool model fit the ETS EC. It looks much more durable.

Agree about how it latches.

I found that the way to get the latch through the handle is opposite of the final orientation for sanding.

Rolgear no longer seems to be in business. :(
It appears John bought them all. :(

I've tried a couple of times to order one, but for one reason or another it never came together.

On the topic of new off-brand Festool accessories, I am just in from using my TSO Bigfoot for the very first time. Color me a big Bigfoot fan.

They're a terrific accessory the Bigfoot! I'm glad I bought mine when the dollar was so much better though, over $300AUD now!

For those of you using the Bigfoot, I noticed that older DF500 had a smaller Support Bracket than the ZA-DF 500 that came with my 2024 Domino. Are you using the Bigfoot because of this smaller bracket, as I've found the ZA-DF to be more than adequate for the work I've been doing. Or is there truly an advantage to the Bigfoot that I'm missing.

And then, with such a big foot, where do you store it?

@onocoffee I store my bigfoot neatly in the DF700 systainer, but there is room for it in the DF500 systainer as well.

And yes the stock Festool one is adequate, but the Bigfoot is a major step up in rigidity and grip, and helps to be able to apply more pressure when doing free form mortises, and just keep the Domino more stable in general.

If I had never used one I don't know I'd pay the $306 they are here, but after using one if I ever had to, I'd happily replace it in a heartbeat.

I store the Bigfoot in the Systainer with the DF 500 because I use the 500 more than the 700.

The standard Festool support bracket works fine, however the Bigfoot is easier to use especially because of its handle. A huge difference between the Festool and the TSO product.
