Just seen this on the Aussie site. Is it a dust extractor or air compressor?

Cool isn't it!  ;D

Its a dust extractor for car repair shops. Designed to hook up to many of the large workshop boom-arms, which in turn allow many tool sander operators to work around cars all day without having to worry about moving a dust extractor about behind them.

I wanted to put on in our workshop, but was saddened to find out they are not designed for wood dust removal.

Wouldn't that be a filter issue or is it a bigger deal than than that?

The issue is to do with dust gathering in places that might cause a potential fire hazard. Which may be just a filter related thing, or a fundamental design thing - I'm not sure. But Festool here don't recommend them being used in wood shops.
