What Type of Edge Banding?

I found it and finally remembered to take a pic. I remembered right, it is wood, not PVC and 50mm wide.

Yes thats the muiltiply I referenced earlier (real wood). I know edgeco has it at other widths other than 50mm too. However it doesnt look exactly the same as the pic from festool.  I think that photo/rendering is heavily doctored or computer generated.

I found it online as "Diverso Edgebanding" and it seems to be an Australian product (or available there).

I put some on a countertop edge a few months ago and a big issue came up. What do you do at a corner? Do you line up the layers as if it really was built from layers, or do you alternate them, like it would be if you looked at actual plywood?
If I remember right, the decision was match them up, that time anyway.
