What vehicles can carry a 4' x 8' sheet of plywood?

Maybe they will bring back the Subaru Brat.

HA! forgot about that one.  I didn't even think the two seats in the pickup bed were safe then.  Can you see getting that one pass the Feds today?

I have seen a few of them over the years, but I have NEVER seen a passenger in the rumble seats.  Frankly, if I wanted the rumble seats I'd opt for a 1934 Ford.

When you read between the line of that article you can see that anyone over 40 is not who they are selling to, nor are they likely to care what we want. so if you're over 40 your yesterdays' goods as far as Detroit is concerned. They'll be glad to take your cash; but it will be for something aimed at the younger crowd who now have lots of money to spend since they have been relieved of their college debt obligations and still live at home on Mom and Dad's dime.

I'm a 40-year-old F150 owner and never heard of the old sedan.  To me Maverick is just another name that seems fine; better then when everything needed to start with "E" (Escape, Expedition, Explorer, Excursion) or "F" (Focus, Fusion, Five Hundred).

I think the reason they are aiming for an affordable truck is that the younger people don't have the money; and it makes sense to hook 'em to the brand while they are young, so that when they upgrade they are likely to have future customers.

Ford 2010 Escape with trailer hitch rack can carry a few sheets of 4x8 material.

Although I really like my 2020 Escape, I kept my 2010 for hauling lumber and trash etc.

It's not plywood but it was about 10' long. Score one for the Pacifica. Now if you'll excuse me my back hurts. 8/4 Hard Maple most of it 10" wide.

Thanks for the picture of the Corvair pickup.  I believe they were called "Corvair Rampside" trucks.
