What's Peter Halle's Story? (diagnosed with cancer)

Friend of mine had the same thing, testicular cancer up through the abdomen when he was 19. Yeah, no typo there either.

It's definitely beatable, he is 100% healthy today (although a big hippie now, so maybe only 99%  [tongue]).

Best of luck.

Peter,

I will say a prayer for you tonight.  May the Lord be with you throughout this process - providing the best medical care possible, comfort when you need it most, and ultimately a speedy & complete recovery.

If you can stay strong mentally and spiritually, you will beat this.  And when it comes time for physical therapy, if they say do ten of some exercise and you feel like quitting at five, do twenty.  I speak from experience having survived a life threatening illness (but thankfully not cancer).  God gave me my miracle and he can do it for you.

I sincerely hope you are back to making sawdust soon.  Of course with Festool, you'll have to look inside your CT to find it.

Be well my friend!

Joe

Many thanks for your order of goodwill.  As always, we are pleased to be of service.
An overnight delivery of our famous worldwide 'special brew' goodwill is on it's way.
As you would expect we have unlimited supplies - deliveries will continue until you've
had enough.  This is an exceptional vintage made just for you; it has a slight green tinge;
we think, our best variety by far.
Take care buddy - and good luck.
Richard

( [embarassed] I wrote this post half way through night, and, failed to make clear
this 'delivery' was for Peter - my apologies.  Get well soon Peter.)

Peter,
I am very sad to hear of your illness.  As one who has had three go-rounds with skin cancer, resulting in three surgeries (you know the difference between major and minor surgeries of course:  minor surgery is someone else's) so I know that cancer can be beaten.  I managed to miss the chemo, but had radiation, and was told that, whichever (or both) it would be, they affect different people differently.  Some people tolerate the chemo very well.  I pray that you are one of those.

I look forward to news of your quick recovery and steady progress toward better health.

Steve

my dad just recently went thru chemo and hes doing well right now. youll be fine peter!

Hi Peter,

Just saw your news.

I have several family members that have beaten cancer.
If you have a specific type, it is remarkable what they can do.

Good luck and we will keep you in our prayers.

Dave

I'll be sending you positive thoughts and energy as well (yeah, I'm a borderline hippie;)
The contractor who I started out with in the 90s let me know that he has bone cancer about a month ago so it's been in my mind a lot lately to build and live well in all we do. Glad yours is treatable and that your care will be taken care of.
All the best!

My thoughts are with you Peter
May you make a speedy recovery
Best wishes from "across the pond "
Peter

Get well soon Peter - we are all with you in this fight. Do not tire, don't let the bad times rule your day - just think of the future and come back to work and keep we unruly FOGgers in line.

Now I really expect everyone to post in this thread - even those who like to keep their heads down and even those who may find it difficult to say anything at all.

Peter

I am very sorry to hear this news. My thoughts are with you Peter and I hope you have a speedy recovery. I know this is possible, my mother beat cancer no less than 3 times. Good luck man.

Stay strong Peter ... you know we'll all get horribly out of control on here without your guidance, so I wish you the speediest of recoveries [thumbs up]

Although we've never actually shaken hands, I consider you a good friend. My thoughts will be with you and your family.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery Peter. My thoughts are with you.

Cliff
