What's the official skinny on NAINA items...?

First let me say that I did a search before posting, so if I missed a thread that explains this (or at least discusses it) feel free to link to it and castigate me appropriately.

I am fairly new here, but have been around long enough to learn what NAINA means. I've even seen a few items that are NAINA that I'd like to have. So here's my question:

Does Festool actively prevent international dealers from shipping items outside their respective RTZ's (Retail Trade Zone) or outside their home countries? I.e., does it mean that the only 'official' way to get a NAINA item is to travel outside of NA and bring it home as luggage?

I understand that tools and electrical items would have potential regulatory, compatibility, and safety issues - and I get that. But things like drill bits, attic systainers, etc. don't fit into that category and seem to be more like an 'error of omission' than a serious import issue?

Maybe I am the only one who cares or would like to know?

On another thread recently the only authorized on-line spokesperson for Festool USA, Shane Holland, explained yet again that they do not discuss business strategy in public. The contract between Festool USA and dealers is considered confidential.

Generally dealers may only ship within their territory. So, dealers within the EU may ship to EU addresses, they cannot ship outside the EU.

Most places where Festools are used run on 230v 50hz electricity. North America and large jobsites in the UK are exceptions. The Electrical Safety Orders for employers in the USA and Canada vary slightly from place to place, but generally prohibit employees using hand-held electrical tools using more than 125v 60hz. So an employer would face all kinds of liability issues trying to buy 230v tools. Festools use universal motors so they work as well on 6ohz as on 50hz.

Dealers here in Europe are prohibited from shipping to addresses outside Europe.

The only ways to get NAINA items are to come over here with empty luggage, or get a friend over here to ship them to you.

However, be careful, as you may get requests from dozens of others who want a track saw module for the CMS, etc., etc.

The parallel guide bag was only available for a short while. It's not a current item & is very rare.

They are still widely available in Europe.
They are called FS-BAG #466357 at €56.
The latest one has a zipper on the front and can only hold 2 FS1400 rails.
I still have the old version which has a Velcro on the front and can hold 2 FS1400 and a FS800, which I like better.
The saw bag is also available and called KRS-BAG #496941 at €25.

That's the rail bag. It is NOT the parallel guide bag. THIS is the parallel guide bag.

Yes you are right. This one is indeed hard to find because it's discontinued. It's called FS-BAG-PA with #496940.
I still have a dealer in town who has one in his shop.
But I think it's way too big.

I'm afraid that the shipping cost will be huge due to the length of the parallel bag.
The purchase of the 2 bags will be around 180 euros.
I tried UPS but they showed me 278 euros for shipping with 4 days delivery and that's insane, but it's up to you.

Tomorrow I'll first check if the bag is still available.

Since you were so nice as to offer, could you get me a price for a blade bag and a 'Toolie' please? Also, can you get a price for delivery by Post (Mail) rather than using Fedex or DHL or UPS, all of whom tack on extra fees?

Anyone know why the PA bag was discontinued. It seems like it's very useful and I know there were some threads on here about people in NA wanting them.

I don't believe that the guide bag was even offered here.  I believe some were brought in and tested and due to comments they weren't brought in.
