Add some meetings and make it 4 weeks. But the general ballpark sounds about right.Mario Turcot said:It takes less then two weeks to get a customer portal setup.
But given what I have seen in the HTML of the site I suspect some marketing drone sold them on some expensive 'enterprise' stuff that 'can do everything they need' and now they slowly realize that it would have been cheaper and quicker to code the thing from scratch with a sane standard open source framework.
Plus their graphics designer seems to come from print instead of web (taken from the side not scaling/flowing reasonably when resizing the viewport), resulting in usability being (friendly put) quite bad. The whole design seems to be geard toward marketing bling instead of easy accessibility for the customers that want to get stuff,.
Added to this is a braindead search function, missing links to accessories on the tools, missing backlinks (from an accessory to the tool(s) it works with), ... Instead of making it quick and easy for a customer to get to the stuff they want (so they're in a happy mood and willing to spend some time on looking at the interesting tool in the sidebar to check if they might want to get) the site needlessly frustrates the users and makes him want to leave to not come back.
Have been doing web stuff professionally the last 20 years... I'm often speechless from what I find (or don't) when visiting the festool sites.
