What's with the TS75 availability?

I know Festool supplies are low on lots of items, but in general things are just labeled as "out of stock" on the various pages.  The TS75 on the other hand says "temporarily unavailable" on the Festool USA site and says "unavailable until further notice" on some dealer sites.  This language sounds more like it was discontinued or recalled or something, but I can't find any posts suggesting that.  Any idea on what is going on here?

It's been discussed in other threads and the general guess is that there are supply issues and/or a redesign coming to coincide with the TS55 and TSC55.

Because of this, I now see TS75's listed on eBay with a starting bid 50% over retail and a buy-it-now price of double retail, with the sellers specifically citing the lack of availability.

Thanks, I tried multiple searches but couldn't find anything.  So is it confirmed that there will never be any more of the current (previous) model TS75 released by Festool?  I.e. when they do come back in stock they will be different in some way?

That has not been confirmed.  There has been no official word on it to my knowledge, purely speculation and semi-educated guesses.

As [member=75217]squall_line[/member] said, every thing in this thread is pure speculation.

I spoke to [member=101]Festool USA[/member] within the last 10 days because I have a project that I thought would be perfect for buying a TS75.  I was told that the shortage is simply supply chain and not caused by inventory reduction in advance of a new model.

Sign up for the news letter at US Tool & Fastener; I've received a couple of notifications for Festool that have been out of stock elsewhere. One of those was the TS 75. Within the past week, I received from them the Domino 500.

This is the word from Festool on Dec 30, 2020

Note:  In response to end-consumer inquiries, feel free to communicate the following:

Festool is currently experiencing an interruption in the supply of the TS 75 Plunge Cut Track Saw (items # 575389 and 575390) and the HK 55 Track Saw (items # 561756 and 575085).  While we are working to satisfy as many current open orders as possible, we are unable to fulfill new orders for the near future.  During this period, we are working to increase available inventory of the TS 55 Plunge Cut Track Saw, TSC 55 Cordless Plunge Cut Track Saw, as well as the HKC 55 Cordless Track Saw.

We at Festool sincerely apologize for this interruption in supply for these items.  We look forward to continuing to provide the highest quality tools possible.

PSA, as I am writing this they have limited quantities available at Rockler.  Mine was just shipped today and I have the tracking number.  Seems like the backlog is at lease somewhat improving?

It does appear that the TS 75 is working its way back into normal retail circulation.  There are a few available on Amazon thru Coastal Tool in CT.  I actually bought one directly from their website for less than the Amazon price.

They come and go. I got into Festool about 6 months ago and never saw it in stock until few weeks ago at Beaver tools. They had quite a bit and I was able to grab one. Keep an eye on this site (FOG) as I was informed by post here.
