When Festools attack

I just got a nifty new CT26E last night.  For the last few years, I've just been hooking a regular shop vac up to my Festools, so this is my first experience with a Festool DE.

Do the hoses ever soften up?  Putting the hose into the garage for the first time, I felt like I was battling an angry python.  And the python was winning.  At one point the end whipped around and walloped me upside the head.

But I gotta say it was worth it.  This thing is sweet ...

I don't understand what 51 has to do with it.  Does it take that long?  Or I should trust you because you're 51?  ;)

You can let the hose to take a "tan".  [eek]  It will make it softer if you leave it under the sun, the warm will make it softer.

Haha, nicely done.  Of course, I'm only 36 so ask me in 15 years and I might not be laughing...

[big grin] [thumbs up]

Well, I'm 50 and I had no idea what he was talking about.  At least, what I think he was talking about  [unsure]

I  store the hose by hanging it up.  That way I have less problems with the coils.

I used the hair dryer trick when I got mine. I hung it over a beam in the shop and let gravity and the warm air do the rest. Worked like a charm.

Bake on center rack at 350 for 15 minutes.

LOL !  really?  did you spray it PAM so it wouldn't stick to the pan?  [smile]

Well you know what they say about men, "the mind is always the second thing to go."  If you had no  idea what he was talking about, you're doing well  [laughing]

Regards,

John
