Safety reminder!

I wanted to quickly „just smooth over the edges“ of a smaller piece.
I was somehow not completely aware of the stupid sh** I wanted to do and, somehow, unclear to me, got my finger touching the MFK700 with a spinning round over bit in it.

I shredded a small piece of my fingernail and flesh, but it looks like I am one lucky son of a Festool user. [emoji41]

Please be cautious and as soon as you feel tired, or stressed, or pressured in any way, put down the machines and have yourself a happy day away from a sharp blade.

I hope Ill learn it this time around. Can‘t think I will get too many other lucky chances with minimal damage...

Get well soon! Glad this worked out with minimal damage for you!

Stuff like that happens, and yes, I too fear the day my Karma points are spent and I'll have to continue on loan base.

Kind regards,
Oliver

Glad to see you had only "minor" injuries.  [eek] I hope you recover soon!

An accident is always waiting to happen. And chances are very much increased if you work without 100% concentration and attention to safety. I try to work safely, but some time I might have some bad luck or do something stupid.  [scared] And I have to admit that it does happen that I continue with a project when I'd better stop and return the next day. Especially when it is "almost done". I just hope that I get as "lucky" as you when that happens.

Ugh.  Sorry.  That’s not a fun way to end a good day in the shop!
