The material in old/new hoses may be different
but the size/shape/connectors are the same and that is what OP is concerned about. I had both taken apart - the CT-VA uses the bare D27 hose and I was integrating a PlugIt into a D27/32 hose, the D27 ends are the same sans/with the braiding. No "magic" of some special diameter stuff involved.
BTW, that Bosch hose has atrocious connectors and is overpriced even compared to the Festool one.
