Does anybody have a good supplier they could recommend? I’d like some phenolic Baltic birch, or Formica covered plywood. Maybe some black melamine. No luck finding this anywhere. Have checked every local building supplier. Even looked for a place that sells phenolic concrete form board. No luck.

Just wondering if anybody has a good source of supply that stocks (or can easily order) this stuff.

Thanks

I met a rep during Wood Pro Expo back in October that was with a company whose focus was sheet goods in Laurel, MD. I'll try to grab the card tomorrow to get the info.

Here's the guy's card. I haven't spoke with him since the Expo as I don't really use sheet goods.

Thanks for posting this. I contacted them and they are B2B only; don't sell to "residential." And they don't carry phenolic (though it is listed on their websites). They said only their Southern US market stores carry that. No idea why.

From what you described in your first post, I think what you're after is called Koskiform. It's a baltic birch core, with a phenolic top and bottom sheet, almost always 18mm, 3/4". It's primarily used for concrete forms. It's a Finnish product, call around and ask for it by name. You might want to call Anderson Plywood in California, ask about an East Coast distributor.

Sorry that didn't work out for you.

You might check with a place called National Lumber in Baltimore, or R. Thomas Frock. They might have something you can use.
