I recently bought one of these in 3.5mm and I am very impressed with it.

My question is which one out of the 4.5mm and 5mm bits will have the right size countersink bit to work with some oak plugs that taper from 11mm to 15mm?

Diameters on all these Festool drill-countersunk-bits are 13 mm.
You can better use the QLS D5-15 countersink (492521).
Or buy a set of plug cutters and matching drills.

I would say you need a forstner bit ,I dont know what the festool counter-sink do ,do they counterbore as well?

Thanks for that, I didn't realise they are all the same size which means the one I already have should work!

I do have one of those other counter sink bits, but I much prefer the depth stop bit after using it and I am to lazy to cut my own plugs! [wink]

Cheers.

Snappy has some nice countersink bits.  I think they are centrotec also.
