Which power tool should I buy next?

WOW it's time to get off line and get some sleep to help your recovery.  [smile]

And because it is now obvious you will be buying both a CXS and ETS150/3!  [big grin]

Awww, sleep is overrated. Especially if I - I mean YOU - took a nap this afternoon.

[wink]

Besides, I just finished counting and packaging another 2,000 bandages for the First-Aid systainers tonight. Only 6,000 or so left to go...

First, I appreciate everyone's willingness to help me spend money!

[wink]

Believe me, I was agonizing greatly over this. I already have the Centrotec kit, so that begs a CXS. I have the RO150, so that begs the ETS150/3. And, of course, everyone needs a detail sander! Man, talk about tough decisions? I'm STILL not convinced to buy into the whole Festool Cordless tool line, and I really don't NEED another sander right now.

Then tonight I was lamenting my situation and my lovely bride reminded me of a project I promised to do for her. Well, guess what? I need a new tool to do that!

So I ordered the Carvex 420 D-Handle Corded Jigsaw Model 561608. And to go along with my 'stuff I already have that begs a purchase' theme, thanks to the 7-corners closing sale I already own the "Angle Base for Carvex Jigsaw - 496134" and the "Guide Rail Base for Carvex Jigsaw - 497303". Talk about a no-brainer. huh?

Betcha didn't see that coming, did ya? That's OK, neither did I. But it's all good, and my great debate about the next power tool can wait for another day...

[thumbs up]

What's this debate you keep bringing up - you just buy them all and be happy  [thumbs up]

OK - they're in my shopping cart right now. I even added a Kapex!

Please PM me your Credit Card information and I'm all set, since that's the only real issue I was wrestling with...

[wink]

I said PM - this now gives me an over limit error when I try to use it.

Curses - foiled again!

After see all the Milwaukee M12 tools you own (another thread)  it did not look like you need another drill motor. So the Carvex is a great choice.

Did you end up ordering blades for your Carvex? I do enjoy that saw.

NO. It says it comes with two, which I will try before I buy more.

Dang you wow !

The Carvex PS420 arrives today from Tool-Home.
Then, I just hung up with Tom and ordered an RO 90 with "The wow abrasive set", an RO90 abrasive Systainer (497687) and a parallel guide set.

Anyway I'm stoked.

I've always told my wife..."If nothing else, I can always serve as a bad example."

[cool]

Glad I could help!

I know you can say this about many Festool products, but I would NEVER part with my CXS.  Even after getting a T18 I still find myself reaching for the CXS most of the time.

Regards,
Gerald
I feel the same about mine

Ya know what's a bummer?

It's a bummer when your wife runs out to the FedEx truck expecting clothing and the driver hands her a Carvex 420.  [sad]

That she didn't know she ordered...

Wow - I think purchasing the Carvex was a wise move....  Hey, I bought one!

I was on the verge of placing an order for the CXS last week after saying no way would I buy any of the Festool drills, I just see them as too expensive and there are too many other alternatives available.  Then I went to the Borg, saw a display, selling the 20V drill and impact with 2 batteries and charger...........for $99......  No way could I pass that up!  So, I add to my DeWalt drill fleet and must admit I truly do like these drills.  When you find these special sales, at that price, really makes it hard to spend 3-6 times over for a Festool drill....

I think the Kapex might be my final Festool purchase (for the foreseeable future)....  Trying to hold out, but, getting rather weak.....  :)

Yeah, 3pedalMini didn't bid quite enough on the First Aid Kit for me to buy a Kapex. It's all his fault!

Hey, that's my story and I'm sticking to it ...

altough i have ETS125  and cooltainer on order  [cool]

The Kapex is really nice with the Wings and cart, I think that is where it really shines.

The reason why I asked about the blades is that I find the blades are great. The 75/4 FSG blades are really good.
