I think it comes in T-loc!  unless your dealer has some in stock with the old systainer but you could end up with the old carvex

I'm not familiar with the scope of delivery in the U.K., but I would recommend just giving your dealer of choice a ring and ask.  [smile]

PS - Of course, we expect a full review in the coming days...

Dealer I use RCF (Rex crystals) he's on here now! I think he will have both T-lock and old not sure though.  If he has it in stock if you order it 2moro you will have it next morning. I have ordered LOADS of him £1000's and always deliverers as promise.

Yeah I ordered my of 1010 from rex crystals a couple of years ago. will probably order my carvex with him to. Do you thimk its worth gettin the old systainer or get a new one for future festool purchases lol. I suppose the dimensions are the same as i have racked my van out for systainers. Do either of you guys have the ps400?

I own the Carvex!  I got the 14.4 Carvex!  As the 18V was not avaliable at the time but it does not mater as the Carvex accepts both the 14.4 and 18V batteries but for the little extra cost your better of getting the 18V.  Unless your getting the Corded version.   I would recommend the barrel grip the D hand feels cheap and naff.

Edited: Umm I like the fact the old ones will stack any where in the stack but the T-loc wont but will with other T-locs. So would want to get the old systainers my self!  But festool are going to be selling all tools with T-locs so you will eventually get a T-loc so its up to you. they are same size so they will still fit in you racking. Its up to you! See what the dealer will do for price I dont know if it will be cheaper or have some special deal?!?!?

yeah was gonna gonna get the corded version. The reson being I have a 14.4 panasonic jigsaw and i think it lacks a bit of power. I am going to get the barrell grip yeah. I went to a tool shom at kempton park race course on saturday and saw the new mafell jigsaw. I was really tempted by it but it seemed really heavy. And pretty pricy to actally.

Yeah Mafel does feel heavy I had a feel at NEC didnt try it though cus if I did I was scared I would buy it!

Well I have the battery carvex  1x14.4 battery which came with it and I bought the 18V separate no power increase but it last longer. I have cut a few work tops with the Cordless carvex and it doesnt slow down it carries on full power even when I push it faster it honestly feels like a corded version. I have 2 cordless Jigsaws.  My Corded Precision Bosch sits at home now I have not used the corded for umm more than a year ago.

I was at a dealer show the other day the rep was showing all the new goodies and he said that if you bought a tool in the old systainer you have the option to pay £20 for a new T loc and keep the old one. You need to fill in a form supplied by seller at time of purchase.  I think like you, the old ones look better together and the new ones will be fine together with other new ones !!!!  Hope this makes sense
Cheers Peter

ERmm I think I am going to stick with the corded version atleast i have the best of both worlds then. I used to have the bosch precision jigsaw i really liked it but it got stolen i was gutted. I saw the mafell ks300 that  you refered to in another post. That looked pretty cool to just seemed real expensive to for a saw that was so small. [eek]

Yes! It is very small!  Only cuts 40mm on the rail  and 42 off the rail!   My mate got his the other day! Im gettin him to give me a hand with the oak flooring in couple weeks!  See how well it comes in!  Saves having to set up a chop saw!  If its good ill buy one my self!  I still think you should have a TS55 or 75 it is not a replacement of them its in a different category.   Funny he always ask for my help fitting kitchens as I own a TS55 a lot quicker than using a router to cut work tops to length and cutting out sinks hops and stuff. Im using him now to get this job done quick!  [big grin]

Oh I just emailed RCF he normally contacts me but might be a bit late though.

Your right about having a ts55 or 75, couldnt use a saw that small all the time. Still tempted by it though lol. Do you think the carvex is a good buy then?

I like it! Mainly because cordless really and how it feels like corded. BUT  Your getting the corded not used the corded so dont know really. I think the new ones have been sorted out with the loose circle base having less slack.  umm  well what you gettin are you gettin the basic or complete kit?!?!

Well  RCF just email me now!  I knew he would email back even at this time lol  (UK 10.30 time)

I am just the same!!!  I know if I did not buy the full kit I would say DAM IT! I could of done with that bit!

BUT! saying that I have not used anything yet from the full kit!  Only for this fog for Demo but for a job I have not used a single thing yet.  Only the jigsaw and the standard base is all I have used at the moment. I haven't even taken the second systainer with me onto a job lol!  So at the moment it has been a waist of money!  Im sure some of it will come in though!  Any way have another systainer you could use for something lol!
