Whimsical Pen and Pencil Holder

I work part-time at the Centerville, OH, Woodcraft store.  Problem: pens and pencils are always somewhere else when needed.  Solution: make a pen and pencil holder and have some fun.  The vertical and horizontal pieces are cherry sprayed with shellac.  The pieces are joined with 5mm Dominos, but the mortises were purposefully cut shallow to expose the Dominos at the joint.[attachimg=#][attachimg=#][attachimg=#][attachimg=#]  6mm holes were drilled into 10mm Dominos in which to place the writing instruments.  I had hoped to generate a bit of conversation to address the versatility and usefulness of the DF 500.

Ha!  That's a new use for Dominos.  Now that you have a place to store pens and pencils, how do you ensure that they stay there?

The customers are good about returning pens to the holders.  The challenge is my  coworkers!
