Who's going to the Festool Connect 2016?

I booked at the Motel 6 in Lebanon.  Look forward to meeting a bunch of FOG friends.

I and a few others I know from various forums are across the street at the Holiday Inn.

Indy Zoo is really nice. As Shane said the Indianapolis Motor Speedway tour, you won't be disappointed.

I am signed up and hotel reservations made.  Now I just need my oh-so-understanding wife to make the necessary arrangements for her new job out of town to stay with my FOG dogs - Mac and Indy.  Mac would love to make the trip, Indy would puke all the way to Indy, and I am sure that I know someone there who would welcome them into her furry household for a few days whereas I am planning on coming early and staying later.  BUT my fear is that they would demand to go to the show and then all Festoolian havoc would reign and I would be flogged about the head and hindquarters with a dust extractor hose.

Only time will tell!

Peter

Where do you sign up to attend.  I can't remember seeing anything?

Wouldn't miss the opportunity for anything - see you all there

just drove through lebanon, indiana on way back from vacation--it reminded me to register, so i also plan on being there.

I plan on being there.  Looking forward to meeting all of you very helpful FOGers who attend that I have learned so much from!

Can we register at the last minute?  I will be driving home to Florida from Iowa sometime in September.  Not sure I can make it that soon.

I managed to get registered and am looking forward to attending.

Absolutely. Honestly, registration is not required. However, it helps to us to plan for food, parking, etc.

I agree with everything that [member=48572]Shane Holland[/member] said in regard to hotels and things around Lebanon.

The actual event will obviously be very tool/Festool/woodworking-focused, so wives and kids might not be super thrilled.

However, Indianapolis is a great city with a lot of things to do. (As someone who's lived in Indiana for 2/3 of my life and currently lives in downtown Indy, I'm pretty biased.)

Here are a few things I recommend:
  • The Children's Museum of Indianapolis: The world's largest children's museum is pretty incredible. Great if you have kids, but it's fun for couples, too.
  • Lots of breweries: There's a lot of great beer in this town. My personal favorites are Black Acre, Flat 12, Daredevil Brewing CompanyFoutain Square Brewery and St. Joseph's Brewery (located in an old church; really cool location).
  • The Mass Ave District: It's strip downtown with great restaurants, bars and shops. Good for couples. (St. Joseph's is very close to this.)
  • NCAA Hall of Champions: The NCAA is located in Indy (which is why the Final Four is here once per decade). If you're a college sports fan, check out their Hall of Champions.
  • Tapper's Arcade Bar: This is a new bar in the Fountain Square area, which is near downtown. It's filled with old arcade games from the 80s and 90s. Incredibly fun. All of the games are free (except pinball, I think.) There are other good bars and restaurants in that neighborhood, too.
  • The Fashion Mall at Keystone: If your wife (or you) like shopping, this is a really nice, high-end mall. Then again, if you wife really likes to shop, I'd be afraid to take her there.

If there are specific types of things that you're looking for, let me know. I love this city, and I'll try to help.

Tyler, you should have our FOG screen names printed on name tags!

That's a good idea. We're still working on nametag ideas. I'll add that to the conversation.

Also, I'm SO disappointed that I won't make it. But family weddings come first.

I don't remember that being asked for during registration, so it would likely need to be penciled in.

Or Festool t-shirts... [popcorn]  [popcorn]

Ah hell...

Let's just make them football style jerseys (WORLD football, not NFL) with interchangeable stick fix names on the back. Real name and FOG name. You can have green sleeves so we know that they can be interchanged from short to long sleeve and even three-quarter length if you want to go to see a metal concert.

We can call it a system of you want Tyler!  Sorry we won't see you there.

Cheers. Bryan
