Why is the Kapex UG Miter Station so expensive?

Festool produces most of their tools in Germany. Their workers are well trained, make good wages, have paid vacation, health benefit and a retirement fund. This increase the total cost of the tool but also creates an economy where people are not living in poverty.

So when you get a Festool product you get a well thought out and engineered system, you also support a company that treats it worker well.

That is one of the reasons i buy Festool, the people who make my tools have the same living standard as i have. And that way my money stays in the economy that enables me to get jobs.
If you prefer to give a bit less money to a company that exploits poverty and has an advantage in maintaining a low living standard of their employees, then you are throwing your money out of our economy. And the next thing you know it's your job that gets exported.

Price for the cart and wings has just dropped to $699 in Oz - over a $200 cut. Shame I already have one  [sad]

At least you didn't buy the MFT800 package and the abortion wing package the first time around and THEN get the UG  :'( :'( :'(

Hi All,

I know this thread is old, but looking for ideas for my miter station setup with my Kapex (newerish version, bought it last year)

If i see correct, those leg brackets on the wings, without the leg, bring it to the height of the cutting platform?

"Assuming newer version of the kapex/ug stand would be the same?
