I was about to cut 28, 1"x1" wood pieces on my Kapex. Since I would be starting/stopping the saw many times – and wait each time for the vac to get up to speed – I selected "manual" on to let it run continuously for this brief session. (Read here that many of you use this "constant-on" procedure to save wear and tear on the vac switch and it made perfect sense to me.) However, I was surprised to discover that, in the manual mode, its receptacle is NOT hot. So, I would have to plug the saw in elsewhere. Well, I don't have another receptacle that the Kapex cord will reach. What's the Festool reasoning for wiring it this way? It makes no sense to me. Or, is something wrong with my vac?
