Wiha deal on Amazon

When I was a sparky, many of my colleagues used & liked those Wiha drivers.  I never did.  Too skinny, too slippery, even with the partial overmould.  I much preferred the more "ergo" shapes of the Sandvik/Irazolas (Spain) or Bahco/Belzers (Germany).

Where I could get away with it, on new installations rather than rewires, I'd try to use uninsulated Bahco/Belzer ratchet handles.  So much kinder on my right wrist's Carpal Tunnel for repetitive work than conventional fixed-blade drivers.

As for the pliers, I've never known anybody to prefer these, ever.  I liked NWS & Carl Kammerling (CK), whilst colleagues used a variety of makers from Channelock (USA) to Minimax (Germany via Japan), Wattmaster/Marvel (Japan) & of course the ubiquitous Knipex.  I'm sure there's nothing at all wrong with Wiha pliers, in fact it's just as likely they're made by one of the abovementioned German manufacturers anyway!

Ron,

Thanks for sharing!

I just picked up a set.

Great deal.

And Amazon’s pricing algorithm strikes again. Up to $43, still a deal, just not as super.

Out of curiosity (I don't need any more screwdrivers), I clicked on the OP's link this morning (about 3 hours ago), and saw 11 sets left at the bargain price. I suppose Amazon had preset the number of bargain sets available, and once the stock set aside was gone, the regular or a revised offer kicked in.

Glad I nabbed a set early.... Gift for my wife. Going to build a toolkit in a mini systainer of the tools she's always borrowing from me.....

Did the same.

I suggest for pink/gray for the most lady-like appearance. ;)
...and really to make sure you don’t grab it with the others.
