With much thanks to you Tom! Your finishing pointers are what saved me. I almost killed myself on this project. That is the very first project I have even attempted using dyes, KA+, and an hvlp sprayer. 3 completely foreign processes to me prior to this project. Hopefully that is the last request for bamboo material! That was a new material to me as well. The tiny little shards/splinters are a real pain in the everywhere!! I'm still fishing them out 2 weeks post finishing. I cut and did all joinery without glue up, finished everything as a flat panel and then assembled (thank you festool and that wonderful domino) I've built cabinets and closets and the like before, but never more than wipe on stain and brush on poly top coat. I noticed with the flash on the camera there seem to be "swirls or circles" that I cannot detect with any amount of raking light or sunlight. Is that something i can work to omit? Maybe it's not even an issue?? Regardless, the interior designer has already hired me for several built ins and some bedroom furniture! Yay, my cabinetry business has started. Of course I still have to stick my hand in the occasional toilet, crawl in those awful blown in insulated attics and walk a roof from time to time, but less is always welcome. [big grin]
