Hi,

I won a $ 100 gift card from my favorite Festool dealer, but I am not really sure what to buy next.  I am a face frame cabinet maker, but am contemplating the LR32 system for shelf pin holes, and for boring the 35 mm hole for Euro style hinges which I use.

I am also contemplating a RO90, although I typically buy my lumber S4S.  I have 4 Festool sanders.

Maybe the Sys Lite, or the Carvex jigsaw, although I so rarely do anything other than 90 degrees.  Is there one favorite Festool that you have that you would recommend (that I don't have based on my signature line).

Thanks a hundred.

Well, not as fun as a new tool but what about treating your tools with some new blades and/or abbrasives?

I think if it were me I would probably put it towards a boom arm. If there is one thing that I wish I had, its the boom arm for the CT26. I just can get over the high price tag.

I really love my ro 90, and there isn't a better sander out there specifically for face frames.  Once you've used it on rails and stiles, everything else just feels awkward.  The delta head is included which is a nice bonus, and there's also an extended delta head available for those super hard to reach places.  It's also the only Rotex sander that you can actually use one-handed.

I love my RO90, it is a great little sander especially for face frames.

I just say in your tag line that you have a CT22. My suggestion might be irrelevant now. Congrats on gift card!

The CT 22 & CT 33 work with the Boom Arm.

I think that a Carvex would be a nice addition and if you only cut 90 degrees, you could just buy the extra bases you need (although the accessory kit is a really nice value).

Hi,

Thanks for the thoughtful replies.  I ended up purchasing a Carvex today.  I am sure I will enjoy using it.

Thanks again.

Congrats. Keep us posted on how you like it...did you bug any accessories for it?
