I have a questions for construction of wood frame + glass pane sliding door.
I'm planing to build door frames out of LVL engineered wood (Timberstrand) for core and wood veneer. What is the proper thickness of wood veneer? Should it be 1/8" thick like typical stave core stile or is thin wood veneer sheet fine?
Of course, because of price, I would like to laminate thin wood veneer but not sure it is appropriate application for exterior sliding door.
Any thought?
